I attracted my audience with the theme of my film, Which was a dark scary thriller. The type of people that watch these types of films are the types of people that i set my film towards. Having a young female protagonist attracts young people more than the story itself but the story itself attracts the older generation. Also having a young female actor may scare the audience more than if it was an old man because they could be the same age and wonder what they would do in that situation. When you realise that the girl is going to die by being shot by the taxi driver the audience may be very scared to think that such an every day thing to die like getting a taxi could turn into such a dark and horrible experience. I used audience feed back to be able to specifically chose an audience. Also i made the film specific to what people associate some things with e.g. little old villages, men dressed i  all black clothing etc. I did this by writing a questionnaire about what people think of when certain sentences and words are said. Like little old villages and men dressed all in black. The responses came back exactly how i thought that they would with people saying that these saying were “scary, terrifying, dodgy, remote, isolated and things like this. I have used handheld shaky camera work to give it a realistic feel. This makes the audience believe it could be real. I have used some close ups to capture feelings and emotions. Some of these emotions are scared, sad, uncomfortable and more. i have also used long shots to show the audience what the characters are doing at that time.
